Designed to empty 30 to 55 gallon steel, fiber and plastic drums, this stainless steel, food-grade device is operated by a chain drive system. It can cycle every 60 seconds to empty 50 drums per hour. The drum dumper is typically used to supply products to hoppers or food choppers. It has a capacity of 1,000 lbs. Larger units with heavier capacities are available.
This automatic, drum dumping system, receives a full drum of frozen concentrate and raises it up to 15 feet then tilts it 120º to dump the contents into a vat. Special hold-down fingers prevent the drum from sliding out of the cradle and keeps the liner in the drum as well. A powered conveyor on the lift cradle drives each drum on and off the lift. The empty drum is lowered and conveyed away automatically. An air opeated diverter transfers the empty drum to an accumulation lane.
